Lancaster University is trialling Sustain4 enterprise for both their own footprint and to assess and manage the supply chain.
Recognising that, for the average organisation, around 80% of environmental impact is in the supply chain, the university will be using Sustain4 to report on their spend impacts with analysis of current data, and to engage suppliers, piloting the buyer/supplier functions of Sustain4.
The university has a well developed sustainability function and are looking to drive further efficiency and accuracy from using the software, as well as solving a problem that they share with the vast majority of organisations – how to engage and manage the supply chain.
